Pasta Moto is a new concept of a fast-service, as opposed to fast-food, restaurant. The first Pasta Moto location opened in the esteemed Westfield San Francisco Center's magnificent Food Emporium in the fall of 2006 to fill the need to bring premium pasta to a quick-service environment, with the commitment to import and serve the highest quality Italian pasta, made to order.
Not surprisingly the enterprise, which is part of the Tuscan Oven Restaurant Group, owned by the Pirraglia family, which counts over 40 years experience in the restaurant and wine business, become a success quickly, thanks to a variety of pastas imported from Italy and the signature quick-serve system to cook pasta dishes in a minute, then season them with sauces based on recipes from the Pirraglias' acclaimed full-service restaurants.
While Pasta Moto was founded on the dedication to delivering premium pastas, it has also gained a reputation for offering exceptional pizzas, which are all made to order from scratch in less than five minutes, in addition to paninis and salads.

WineCountry.IT and Michael Pirraglia, Vice President and CFO of Pasta Moto, paired up to present a wine tasting of hard-to-find Italian wines. For the Saturday, March 27 tasting, Michael selected four white and four red wines with very different characteristics, body and aroma, offering his customers a quick tour to some little known Italian wine varieties.
