"Enologica is the only wine event which has ever managed to bring together producers from all over the Emilia-Romagna provinces," explained the trade show curator, Giorgio Melandri, on the occasion of the official presentation of Enologica 2010, which took place in Milano Marittima and said of this event, "(It is) an entire region united in a joint wine event which promotes local culture, history, tradition, and terroir in addition to the bottled product".
The regional agriculture councilor, Tiberio Rabboni, highlighted the fact that wine is among the few products whose export is growing, thanks also to the region's producers, who opened up to innovation by renewing 2,000 hectares of vineyards all together. Rabboni added that the national consumption, on the other hand, has decreased by two liters per person, per year, in Italy.
The mayor of Faenza, Giovanni Malpezzi, pointed out that Enologica started out as as a provincial show, but in time it expanded to become a regional and national wine event. In addition to consumers, the event is dedicated to wine professionals as well, in fact, Monday, November 22, 2010 will be dedicated exclusively to professional buyers, including foreign groups from the US and Switzerland.

In addition to tasting the wines of over 130 wineries, which gives attendees the opportunity to discover some of the best labels in the region and interact with the wine makers, Enologica also proposes magic gastronomy at the Teatro dei Cuochi (Cooks' Theater), where one may discover new flavors, or rediscover forgotten flavors.
The four-day program includes over 50 events, including Tutti Pazzi per Enologica, ([We're All] Crazy About Enologica), a series of events that will anticipate and lead to the Enologica 2010.
