Bookmark and ShareA single, large trade show which focus on welcoming professional guests held under the SAPORE 2010 (FLAVOR 2010) umbrella: over 400 buyers from around the world are expected.

DIVINO LOUNGE, held at Rimini Fiera from February the 21st to the 24th of February, keeps growing. The event dedicated to 'wine, food and more' – held this year within the completely new organizational setting of SAPORE 2010, along with the historic trade shows MIA, MSE, ORO GIALLO (YELLOW GOLD), FRIGUS, and PIANETA BIRRA BEVERAGE & CO. (PLANET BEER BEVERAGE & CO.) – signed an agreement with the organizers of Arezzo Wine, which celebrate its third edition this year.

The three-year agreement was signed on December 18, 2009 at the headquarters of Rimini Fiera by its President, Lorenzo Cagnoni, and the representatives of Iron 3, the company which organizes Arezzo Wine, Giacomo Acciai and Andrea Lisi, to start a collaboration which will re-route to Rimini the producers participating in the Arezzo wine trade show.

"It is a very important understanding," explained Patrizia Cecchi, business director of Rimini Fiera, "which focuses in particular on the 'incoming'. To underscore the validity of the projects, we are receiving comforting signals from abroad. In fact, over 400 foreign buyers from various parts of the world have already confirmed their participation. The substantial increase of exhibitors which DIVINO LOUNGE is attracting is equally emblematic. I want to underscore the fact that this agreement further strengthens an already strong team. I am referring to the valuable collaboration with La Madia Travelfood of Elsa Mazzolini, established since the first annual."

"The scenarios which now open before us," continued Orietta Foschi, project manager of DIVINO LOUNGE, "are very interesting and bring along strong growth. Thanks to the specific competencies of out new partners, the wine segment of our event will expand in particular into Tuscany, a region which produces traditional quality wines and includes historic estates."

To sum it all up, in its second annual, the B2B wine segment of the Rimini Fiera trade show, dedicated in particular to the sector professionals who focus onto the wine-restaurant connection, doubles up by incorporating Arezzo Wine. The 2010  appointment will introduce new strategies for the ho.re.ca. (hotel, restaurant, catering) industry, a market worth €65.7 billion in Italy alone, and it is still growing.

DIVINO LOUNGE takes place at the beginning of the year, an ideal time to anticipate the new market tendencies. In addition, the format is innovative and particularly convenient:

  • Area Food – Pairing with gourmet food prepared by famous chefs.
  • Area Wine – Guided tasting of wines, spumanti (Italian sparkling wines) and Champagne, in collaboration with the AIS (Associazione Italiana Sommelliers, or Italian Association of Sommeliers).
  • Area Business – Pre-set appointments with Italian and international buyers, plus internet stations for online sales.
