The book entitled 'Il Veneto, Noialtri e il Vino' ('Veneto, Ourselves and the Wine') participated in the 'Gourmand World Cookbook Award 2008' and won the Italian categories for:
- Best Book on European Wine
- Best Wine Photography Book
Thanks to these results, 'Il Veneto, Noialtri e il Vino' will now compete for the title of 'The Best in the World', facing off books published in other countries which won in the same categories. This final contest will take place in Paris, France, on July 1, 2009, in the historical location of the Comédie-Française (French Comedy) Theatre.
These awards follow another prestigious recognition in the contest 'Libri da Gustare'
('Books to be tasted'), which took place in Turin, Italy, on December 11, 2008. In that case the book was listed as one of the five best wine books published in 2008.
