Following the success of the 2007 Italian wine tasting, Don Davis, the head of Uncorked Events, decided to repeat the Vino Italiano experience in San Francisco. WineCountry.IT participated with a selection of Italian wines from the company wine portfolio.

The venue is the same as last year, at 440 Broadway Street, in San Francisco (phone: 415 989 3434), but the name and decor is very different. Last year's Dolce has become Apartment 24, and where last year's decor featured soothing dark green and brown tones, the new Apartment 24 walls are decorated with trippy black, white, and gold motifs.

Also most of the participating importers to this year Vino Italiano, held on March 12, 2008, are different from the previous year, with the exception of Palm Imports, Vineyard Brands, Winebow, and WineCountry.IT / Italian Flavor Consortium.

WineCountry.IT is represented by San Francisco sales manager, Michelle Keene, with a little help from Marin County account executive, Jenny Snodgrass, and the president of the company, Loris Scagliarini.

For a few hours, the mostly 20- and 30-something San Francisco wine lovers and socialites, most of them successful professionals, gathered at Apartment 24 to taste, compare, comment on and discover a variety of high quality Italian wines.
