Hilton appears nude, completely painted gold, while crawling across a desert, to advertise her new line of bubbly drink, called Rich Prosecco.

- Numerous Estates Sign Up for the New Strada del Vino e dell'Olio Chianti Classico

The new project for the Strada del Vino e dell'Olio Chianti Classico (Road of the Chianti Classico Wine and Oil), presented toward the end of November 2007 at Tavarnelle Val di Pesa, has the potential to start a great economic development for the area between Siena and Florence. This new Strada, created with the support of the Consortiums of the Chianti Classico DOCG Wines and the Chianti Classico DOP Olive Oil, will be the 22nd in Tuscany, and will include nine municipalities, eight of which are Città del Vino (City of Wine), and the provinces of Florence and Siena, both associated with the Città del Vino organization as well.

- Italian Restaurateur and Master Sommelier Makes Istanbul his Second Home

Born to a family full of restaurant professionals, Italian native Alessio Di Gino works as a restaurateur and sommelier. Currently co-managing the Italian restaurant L'Altra Risacca in Istanbul's Maslak district, Di Gino considers Istanbul his second home.
"I love living here. Istanbul is a magnificent city, it is magic. Istanbul is unique. You feel the East meets Western culture in everything. From the Sufis to punk rock. You go from one edge to the other. Even in the food you can see it," said Di Gino.

Vinitaly US Tour 2007: San Francisco

On October 24, 2007, Vinitaly US Tour 2007 brought 50 exhibitors who poured Italian wines from the Piedmont, Lombardy, Veneto, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Emilia Romagna, Tuscany, Umbria, Sicily and Sardinia to San Francisco's Old Federal Building, at 400 Samsome Street.
Two producers associated with Italian Flavor Consortium, Roberto Crea's Azienda Vitivinicola Caliscana, and Danilo Tonon's Tenuta La Carlina, both from Tuscany, participated.

- ISMEA / UIV 2007 Italian Wine Production Forecast

According to ISMEA (Istituto di Servizi per il Mercato Agricolo Alimentare, or Service Institute for the Agricultural and Food Market) and UIV (Unione Italiana Vini, or Italian Wine Union) forecast updated to September 7, 2007 this year's vintage will be very lean: The two organizations foresee a record drop in wine production, with 43.5 million hectoliters (around 4,600 million gallons), or 12% less than 2006.
Regional production details:
- Piedmont, Lombardy, Liguria and Aosta Valley,
- Veneto and Trentino Alto Adige,
- Friuli Venezia Giulia, Emilia Romagna, Tuscany and Umbria,
- Latium, Marche, Abruzzo, Apulia and Campania,
- Molise, Basilicata, Calabria, Sicily and Sardinia,
plus the Italian production of wine and grape juice in the last three years.
